combating wholsale fraud online

Monday, March 16th, 2009

The internet is home to a million of suppliers and legitimate wholesale business’s. It is also a haven for fraudsters and fake companies looking to make a quick buck. Some things to avoid and be alert of when you are looking for a supplier.

1.) If the deal is seems too good to be true, it probably is or the items are fake.
2.) avoid using sites that only offer western union or money gram, you cannot get your funds back if something goes wrong. Use sites that take credit card or forms of payment that can dispute the charge if you have cheated.
3.) Look at the ranking of the site to see how many users they get a day. If its high volume, that means they are at least still operating and the site is up to date.
4.) avoid buying from sites that spam you in the email that you did not provide your information to. These sites are probably a scam.

Keep these tips in mind because during this period of recession, everyone is out there to make a quick buck even if it means cheating you or fooling you to get your hard earned dollars.

Wholesalers a plenty on ebay!

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Ebay is seen as a online portal that is a money making machine for wholesalers. If you do a search of an item you will probably find hundreds of sellers selling the same item in multiple quantities. Its a great way to generate revenue or even revenue on the side if you own a site or store locations and wholesale. An average wholesaler can increase their revenue by $2000 to $5000 on the site. The beauty of eBay during recession times like right now is that you can sell single items of wholesale goods. For example people will always buy clothing in single pieces. More and more users should use the internet and find suppliers. This is what globalization is allowing us to do and we should take advantage of it.
