Is the global recession slowing down your business in wholesale? Let’s generate some ideas to fight the slow sales and boost them up. Anyone with ideas that will help fellow wholesalers will be great. I feel that wholesale business owners should:
1.) Go to events and trade shows to get a feel of how the market is going for various types of wholesalers - big, small, or medium.
2.) Continue to advertise online. Advertising is something that will help your site ranking increase and now is the best time to advertise because a lot of companies will allow you to advertise at cheaper prices and you will see the results of this advertising within 3-6 months as your ranking will continue to rise. When the recession is over, you will be at the top of the search engines.
3.) Only carry stock that is needed and that sells quick. Because of tough times its better to be more liquid with the funds and stock you carry.

I’ve been looking into going to events and trade shows. I am currently looking for the upcoming events in my area. I think that by attending them, i can decide my next moves and uncover what is really going on within the market.
Trade shows are great way to network at this time for future transactions. You will also find a lot of different items that you didn’t think you can wholesale as a business. I starting in clothing and I do jewelry now because of the contacts i made at trade shows
I am from Egypt and we do not have trade shows down here. our only form of wholesale knowledge is internet which is good and bad. There are good suppliers and bad suppliers on the net so lot of searching is needed
